From one angle, this ring reads as a simple polished gold band; turn it, and the crown erupts into a field of 1.50 carats of pavé-set diamonds, laid so densely across the domed surface that the metal beneath nearly disappears. The stones are held in tiny beaded prongs, each raised bead catching light alongside the diamond it secures—a technique that gives pavé its name, from the French for "paved," and its characteristic shimmer.

The construction is what elevates it. The shank swells gradually toward the top, creating a "hills and valley" effect. The diamonds wrap generously over both shoulders before the gold resumes in high polish, so the transition feels intentional rather than abrupt. Peer through the interior and you'll find azures beneath each stone, a detail that lets light travel through the setting from below.

Domed bands like this trace back to the sculptural, gold-forward jewelry of the late twentieth century. This is a fabulous piece that works well stacked or entirely on its own.
