A signet ring is any ring with a raised, flat surface ideal for engraving. Typically, we find signets as squares, cushions, ovals, and rounds—this piece, however, is a dramatic and unique navette shaped signet.
Made in the late 1800s or early 1900s, this Victorian ring has a fluted shank that fans out at the shoulders and supports an elongated rhomboid surface. The top of the ring is elegantly matte finished and is ready for an engraving if you so choose, though it's not necessary as this ring is absolutely perfect as-is!
