Made for a faceted oval center, this ring was inspired by an Art Deco original. The central stone is held in place by a distinctive combination of settings: half-bezels to the east and west, prongs to the north and south, with two more pairs of stepped half-bezels flanking the stone on either side. The shank narrows and curves gracefully, keeping the focus on the gem.
Our original was made for a 7.5 x 6.5 mm stone, and true to the era it references, the setting favors clean lines and repetition over ornament, letting the stepped metalwork do the talking.
We can recreate this design in the metal and for the stone of your choosing. If you have a particular gem or finish in mind, let us know and we'll build it to match.
Designed in-house and made by us, this is a small-batch original available only on our website or at our Nashville store. See more A.J. Martin Originals.

Previously Made Versions
This piece is made to order, and the main gallery shows a rendering—not a photograph. Here's how previously made versions have looked.
Virtual Try-on Info.
When visible, the Virtual Try-on button (located above the Request Custom Order button) lets you see this piece at true size beside a US quarter, a ruler, or a credit card; on a model's hand, ear, wrist, or lapel; or on you, using just your phone or computer. No account or app is needed.
Every piece is measured and checked by a person before it gets the button, and the size shown is calculated from that measurement. On the model views, the hand wears a size 7 on the ring finger, the wrist is 6.5 inches around, and the ear is an average adult ear. On you, the scale comes from the ring size you enter or from a bank card in the photo.
Your photo is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to us. New pieces receive the button within a few days of being listed.
How to Wear with Care
Jewelry is meant to be worn, but it's also an expensive ornament. Here are a few suggestions to extend the life of your jewelry:
- We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or another trusted jeweler every six months.
- You should remove your rings before swimming or performing any household cleaning, as harsh chemicals can interact with precious metals and permanently damage some stones.
- Generally, we suggest that you do not wear your jewelry to the gym, in the shower, at the pool, or while sleeping.
We do not sell what we cannot service. Should an issue arise, please get in touch. We offer an extensive range of repair services and are here to help!
