Los Ballesteros Sterling Silver Collar Necklace from Taxco, Mexico
This sleek modern Sterling Silver collar necklace by Los Ballesteros is 1.25" at its widest point and tapers to .25" on each end. With mildly squared curves it wears beautifully as a jeweled neckline. The back is left open, with the ends being slightly flexible for opening and closing.
This necklace is in excellent vintage condition with no blemishes or repairs. It is hallmarked “925 Mexico, Talleres de Los Ballesteros, Taxco, GAD" and “MM-34".
Talleres de Los Ballesteros was established in 1937 by Jail Ballesteros. The family business moved to Taxco in 1941 and grew to a successful Plateria (Silversmith and Jewelry shop) known for its original designs of collectable and timeless high quality jewelry. Most of the items sold by Los Ballesteros were made by independent Silversmiths.
