Estate Chalcedony, Diamond, and Tourmaline Ring in 14K White Gold

The focal point of this fascinating ring is a rectangular, bezel set, buff-top cut chalcedony. A buff-top cut is a mixed cut in which the top of the stone is cabochon while the pavilion (the part of the stone below the girdle) is faceted. On the north and south points of the bezel is a conical shaped, cabochon cut, bezel set red tourmaline, and each of the ring's shoulders is accented by two small prong set diamonds.
The milky blue of the chalcedony is among our favorite hues -- it has a seductive quality not found in most stones.
