This fascinating designer piece has a gold nugget style top that's made of 14K yellow gold and has nine diamonds bead set perfectly into its nooks and crannies. The diamonds range in size from 3mm to 3.8mm and have a total weight of approximately 1.40ct. They're white, clean, and dazzling, too, with an estimated G-I color and VS2-SI clarity.
The top piece is gently hugged by the sterling silver shank, which is subtly engraved and tapers from a massive 16.5mm to 7.1mm.
This ring's history is fabled, as well! The inside of the band, underneath the nugget, is flat and engraved with: "14K DIAMONDS 7-25-90 BARRY S MERRITT STERLING." A quick Google of Barry S. Merritt, this ring's designer, shows that he was based in the Northeastern United States and was a connoisseur of art who periodically made jewelry. We were only able to find two other pieces of his make: a ring and a pin, both of which have a similar feel to this ring.
