Halley's Comet's passing in 1910 was a monumental event -- and it was even commemorated in jewelry. This Art Deco diamond ring, made in the 1910's or 1920's, is made entirely of platinum (95% PT, 5% RUTH). Three diamonds embellish the rounded north/south sides of the ring's top -- with a charming star flanking one side of the center stone. The openness of the top adds a delicacy to an otherwise wide ring.
The center stone is a natural modern brilliant diamond (I color, VS1 clarity) that weighs 0.34ct.
