Antique Pearl and Sapphire Compass Pendant in Yellow Gold
This Victorian pendant once graced the top of an antique stickpin. Made of 14K yellow gold, this compass shaped piece is composed of two concentric circles surrounding a bezel set sapphire. The outer circle is four individual segments of seed pearls strung on wire, while the inner circle is made of white enamel set in a channel. The sapphire's bezel is attached to the inner circle by two spokes at its north and south points.
The pendant is crowned by an oval bail, the inside of which measures 2.3mm (W) x 3.56mm (L).
NB: The pendant is being sold alone, without the chain it is photographed on.
