This antique 3.58ct Burmese ruby is incredible. Unlike other precious stones, a gem quality ruby over one carat is uncommon, over two carats is rare. This stone was certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the foremost gem and diamond laboratory in the world, as Burmese in origin with no indications of heating. The finest rubies in the world come from the mines of Burma (Myanmar) and 95% of the rubies in jewelry are heat treated in some way. This stone's Burmese origin, desirable red color, large size, and lack of heat treatment make it incredibly rare.

It is set in an 18K yellow gold mounting and flanked on either side by a near colorless triangular mixed cut diamond, the both of which have a collective weight of approximately 0.49ct.

Jewelry is meant to be worn, but it's also an expensive ornament. Here are a few helpful suggestions to extend the life of your jewelry:

  • We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or your trusted local jeweler every six months.
  • You should remove your rings before swimming or performing any household cleaning, as harsh chemicals can interact with precious metals and permanently damage some stones.
  • Generally, we suggest that you do not wear your jewelry to the gym, in the shower, or while sleeping.

We do not believe in selling something we cannot service. Should an issue arise, please get in touch. We offer an extensive range of repair services and are here to help!
