This Victorian locket is made of a combination of gilt metal and 18K yellow gold. The outer perimeter of the piece is beautifully enveloped by gold granulation, typical of the period. A wreath of wheat, which was a symbol of an abundant and productive life, encircles a central glass bead that's meant to look like a generous chunk of Persian turquoise. An eight pointed gold star is inlaid in the glass - its points and center are accented by rose cut diamonds and its body contains 8 pearls.
The back is open and holds a modern piece of plastic that's held in place by 3 gold folds that can be moved open or shut to easily remove the plastic. This versatile piece can be worn as either a brooch or pendant and contains both a pin mechanism and a hidden, folding bail.

How to Wear with Care
Jewelry is meant to be worn, but it's also an expensive ornament. Here are a few suggestions to extend the life of your jewelry:
- We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or another trusted jeweler every six months.
- You should remove your rings before swimming or performing any household cleaning, as harsh chemicals can interact with precious metals and permanently damage some stones.
- Generally, we suggest that you do not wear your jewelry to the gym, in the shower, at the pool, or while sleeping.
We do not sell what we cannot service. Should an issue arise, please get in touch. We offer an extensive range of repair services and are here to help!
