We custom made this ring by modifying our existing Compass Ring mounting (https://www.etsy.com/listing/198091297/custom-art-deco-style-1-ct-diamond).
The original mounting was made for a 6.5mm round brilliant diamond. We modified the top to accommodate a 7mm rose cut diamond. As would have been done a hundred fifty years ago, we added a gold cup underneath the diamond, which was highly polished to give the illusion of depth to a comparably flat diamond.
