We originally bought this ring to remount the stone, but quickly realized it made a beautiful solitaire. A 1.75ct Old European Cut diamond is the focal point of this ring. The band, a hinged arthritic shank that opens up to facilitate putting the ring on over a large knuckle, is made of 14K yellow gold -- while the six prongs holding the stone in place are made of white gold.
