Iolite is an interesting gem; it's visually similar to tanzanite in that it's usually purplish blue and shows multiple colors depending on the viewing angle. Unlike tanzanite, iolite is practically never treated; it comes out of the ground this pretty!
This sweet ring holds a central round checkerboard cut iolite that weighs approximately 1.50 carats. It's set in a two-tone white and yellow gold setting that's embellished with filigree and approximately 0.28 carats of diamonds. This would make an excellent wallet friendly engagement ring.
