A square step-cut green tourmaline sits at the center of this 18K yellow gold cocktail ring, its sage-to-spring-green color framed by a cluster of pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds and bright round brilliant accents. The pears fan outward like scattered petals, which keeps the silhouette light and gives the ring an organic, slightly asymmetrical charm.

Rose-cut diamonds, a faceting style dating to the 16th century, bring a soft, candlelit glow rather than sharp sparkle, and they suit the tourmaline’s gentle color well. Green tourmaline has its own history: early explorers in Brazil mistook it for emerald, and it remains one of the most wearable varieties of that gem.
