The Etruscan revival period of the late 1800s was inspired by the findings of archaeological digs in and around Rome. The Etruscans inhabited the area before the Romans did! The ancient jewelry being found was marked by gold granulation, filigree, and classical cultural themes.
These Etruscan revival earrings were likely made at the tail of the 19th century and are in the image of ancient amphorae, which were vases used to store and ship goods. The faces of the amphorae are embellished with hand applied gold granulation and the handles are an elegant filigree style. They're elongated in shape and have a spiked bottom, which is a markedly Victorian interpretation of a classical piece of day-to-day minutiae.
They're in excellent condition and are a stunning bright yellow.

How to Wear with Care
Jewelry is meant to be worn, but it's also an expensive ornament. Here are a few suggestions to extend the life of your jewelry:
- We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or another trusted jeweler every six months.
- You should remove your rings before swimming or performing any household cleaning, as harsh chemicals can interact with precious metals and permanently damage some stones.
- Generally, we suggest that you do not wear your jewelry to the gym, in the shower, at the pool, or while sleeping.
We do not sell what we cannot service. Should an issue arise, please get in touch. We offer an extensive range of repair services and are here to help!
