This obviously one-of-a-kind custom designed ring was likely made in the 1950s. At its center is a large rose cut diamond bezel set in sterling silver and surrounded by small antique cut diamonds. The diamond is K color, SI2 clarity and weighs an estimated 1 carat. The shank is made of 18K yellow gold.
Dating this ring, as well as establishing any kind of origin of make, is very difficult. The style says retro, and the use of sterling silver with yellow gold (as opposed to, say, platinum or white gold) implies it was made when access to metals was being rationed. It may be of European fabrication. In any event, the ring is fascinating.
Accompanying this ring is an independent GIA Graduate Gemologist appraisal for $6,000.
When visible, the Virtual Try-on button (located above the Add to Cart button) allows you to try on rings, bangles, and earrings using just your phone or computer. Other pieces—such as necklaces and brooches—are not eligible.
We do our best to make sure that scale is accurate. If the piece you're trying on has a width or length listed, the try-on experience will be as accurate as possible. Please note that the female models in the stock photos wear a size 7 ring and the gents a size 10.
