This lovely Edwardian style setting sat empty until we settled on what, exactly, would be the perfect stone for it. Enter the chrysoberyl. An esoteric stone that most people don't know much about, it's an 8.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness—making it an excellent choice for everyday wear—and it comes in a variety of colors. This specific stone is a laboratory created blue-green Chatham chrysoberyl that weighs 1.61 carats.
The setting is made of 14 karat white gold and is an exact copy of an Edwardian original (ca. the 1910s) taken from a mold. It has swirling plume accents, fine mil-grain detail, and crisp engraved chevrons at the shoulders.
For those who love color and have a penchant for antique style, this is a lovely and timeless piece.
