This exquisite Art Deco bar pin is made of both platinum and 14K white gold. It's an oversize (read: long!) version of the type, measuring a generous 2.5" long.

Each side of this piece has a nearly 1.25" channel of natural French cut emeralds that ensconces an abstract filigree hourglass. The body of the pendant has five round European cut diamonds that are bead and bright set in square settings, with widths measuring 2mm (2), 2.8mm (2), and 3.5mm (1). It's outfitted with both a fastening pin and a bail, making it fit for wear as either a pendant or a brooch.
